Continuing in iOS development

So, since my last post, I’ve decided to go back and finish going through the iPad and iPhone Development course from Stanford that is on iTunes U. I started a few months ago when they offered it as an “interactive” class, but I was busy with other things and just didn’t make time to do the assignments. Now, I’m going at my own pace (semi-accelerated) and just going through the examples that he demos in the videos.

I’m not working on the homework, otherwise I won’t have time for anything else. If there’s something in the homework that I’d like to focus more on, then I may do the assignment, but that would be the only reason to do so. I still read through the assignments though to try and get a better understanding of what’s going on.

Anything I do from this course, I’ll try to remember to post it on Github and/or BitBucket.

iOS woes

In my efforts to do some “minor” iOS apps, it’s turned into a HUGE headache. For the past 3 days I’ve been trying to setup a Custom Input View — reading tutorials online, checking out git repositories, watching video tutorials, reading the Apple Developer Documentation. It seems like it should be straight-forward, but it’s not…

In the end, I think I got it now. If/when I get a better understanding of things, I’ll post a tutorial or something.
